The title and quote have no correlation what-so-ever. The title because it snowed today.. spring time in the Rockies my friends... and the quote because I love it and wanted to share it with all who visit because I think they're words to live by.

I like it. The black and white makes it seem quite cold despite spring approaching. I wonder how it looks in color without editing.

@Dan Meyers: Ok, Dan, you caught me. This was taken last fall but I put it on today just to tempt the fates to get going on thawing us out. The colour shot isn't great... ergo the b/w conversion. It was quite dull and gloomy the day I shot this.

I cannot imagine living with ice and snow - so your images are a revelation - this looks like a dramatic moment happening - the ice flow has suddenly started coursing ... nice b& w.

@Sidonie: You Aussies have it good. That's for sure. But then again I have problems with your bugs (funnel spiders, huntsman spider, wolf spider.. eeeeeeek). Every year it's amazing watching the changes on the creek with the changes of the season... never the same twice. Thanks Sidonie.
