Pssst!

I took this shot just yesterday down by the creek. This is the very first time I have seen any deer while tramping through the bush down there!! This lovely lady was just crossing the path when she stopped. She was actually looking the way she was going to walk but just standing still. I was crouched and focused; ready for that shot. But the silly twit wouldn't look my way. So in my infinite wisdom I said "PSSST".... and Bob's your uncle!

Like your technique, will have to try a 'psst' at an animal turned away from me some time. Lovely shot, you are truly surrounded by remarkable wildlife in your neck of the woods.

@Richard_Irwin: It really works, Richard! It's a knee jerk reaction to look in the direction of the noise whether you're human or animal. Yes, we do have a lot of wildlife around. We are lucky in that regard. Thanks for the visit and wonderful comments.

cool! and what an effective "psst!" You have a great capture here.

In my home country, many people respond to "psst!" I've learned that here in the US, it's impolite to call someone "psst!" thought you'd find the little snippet about the Philippines interesting...

@M.E.: Thanks M.E. I do find it interesting. Up here in Canada (at least out here in the west) it's just a funny way of getting someone's attention. Funny how some things are common place and acceptable in certain cultures and others it's unacceptable... it's what makes the world go round, eh?!

@Wayne: Ah Wayne, you're such a sweetie. Thanks! They're just so sweet and beautiful and I'm lucky I see them out in the fields most every day. But Saturday morning was even more special as it was just me and them. There were about 8 of them just trying to cross the creek.
