Father Moon

Posted by amy (Nanaimo, BC, Canada) on 4 April 2007 in Landscape & Rural and Portfolio.

I shot this yesterday morning. I had come downstairs to turn on the furnace to warm up the house while I got ready for work. As I walked by the window I saw this amazing orange orb in the western sky. Knowing I had a very small window of opportunity I quickly grabbed all my eqipment and threw a coat on over my nightie and stuck my feet in some boots. So there I stood shivering on the deck trying quickly to capture this vision in the -16C temp (yes, it's April but this is also Alberta). What we'll do for our art, eh?! All I did in pp was to lighten the shadows in the foreground and cloned out the power line which of course was just over the top of the moon.

You can view my gallery of images and calendar for sale at: cute but stupid . I'm slowly adding more to the site and if there is something in my portfolio you would like to purchase but is not available on my site just contact me and I'll make it available.

I appreciate all visits and comments and thank you always... ;-)
