Could it be??.... SPRING!

We've finally had some spring weather and so of course down to the creek go I. And I found a pussy willow!!! It's a sure sign of spring. YIPEE!!

Great shot Amy! Spring finally sprung here too - loads of blossoms on the trees and flowers too! I love the way you captured the pussy willow - it is a fine exposure :)

I know it's supposed to be spring, but I've been waking up to frost on the windshield, and there were snow flurries on Easter.

That you've managed to get greenery in the background makes this even more Spring like. With the great outdoors would cooperate a little better with that notion of Spring! The top pussy willow could use with better focus - perhaps a smaller aperature would have brought both into focus - but then you might have lots the smooth background so it's a case of needing to experiment a bit.

@Roberta Murray: Yeah, I know... but the weird thing is that in the original shot there were three buds and the top one was the one out of focus so I cropped it out. But then once it was cropped the "new" top bud was out of focus. Shrug. Not sure about this. Could be noise I suppose but I didn't try to adjust for that. ???

@bronzebilly u.k.: hey billy! I'm taking you literally here... there's a creek behind my house called Prairie Creek where I spend most of my free time nosing around for shots. The "pussy" part is the bud on the willow bush. We just call it pussy willow and is one of the first things that buds here in the spring. Thanks for always making my day by visiting my site!!!!!
