Iced Frog

I spent Saturday with Roberta (of uncommondepth) shooting. I learned so much from Roberta and had a most excellent day. Roberta spotted this very little guy down on the snow... still not sure how the heck she saw him (good eye girl!). This little frog was very co-operative and didn't move a muscle while Roberta and I moved in for some macros. I'm surprised we didn't bunt heads in our excitement to get the shot!! I tweaked it a bit in ps because of the snow/ice.

@Behrooz: Behrooz, dude!!! I'm sure he's still alive... it wasn't that cold, maybe around +14C. I'm glad you liked the shot. When I tried to add more green I was losing too much in the ice. Yeah, I could've isolated the frog out first but... oh hell, it was midnight and I was tired and ready for bed. ;-)

excellent show - and I agree with Jen with regard to the contrast of the ice and the colours on the little frog - nicely done!

He probably couldn't move his muscles. They are cold blooded so he was as cold as the snow. I hope he was ok. Great photo.

@Laurie: Yeah, you're probably right. Judging by the number of frogs we did see I'm sure he managed to move on. The sun was starting to shine and it was getting warm. Thanks for all your comments and advice.. it's been very helpful. ;-)
