Away they go...

I got a little too close to these 2 Canadian Geese so being very rude they took to the skies. Fortunately, I was able to catch this shot. I didn't do much of anything except cropped it and fix the contrast etc when converting the RAW.

@kaveh: Thanks kaveh!! It was a quick grapple... was trying to set up my tripod when they decided to take off so I was grappling with the camera partially attached to the tripod.. It was another klutzy moment in amy's life!! LOL

Excellent capture Amy. Your fields are still very brown, aren't they!! I think it used to get green by this time in Calgary - but I guess a bit further south makes a difference! It never turns brown here, stays green through the winter - we get rained on so much the color is like Ireland! ;)

@Anne: Brag brag brag!!! LOL Thanks Anne! It is a bit greener in Calgary but with the rain today it'll start to green up soon. The poplars are starting to pop out their leaves. I figure a couple more weeks should see us in the green.. heeheehee We are actually higher than Calgary in elevation... we're at 3300 ft. Plus we're about 1/2 hour from the nearest mountains (the Big Horn Range). And so ends today's geography lesson... jeesh I can go on can't I????? Just call me Foghorn LOL

@Richard_Irwin: Thanks Richard! But it isn't a 450mm... it's a 70-300mm. Although my EXIF on ps shows the correct info, when upload it changes. On a past post someone called CP had explained why the difference... apparently the details have escaped me now. Mind like a steel trap but apparently on the catch and release program! LOL ;-)
