@Art Monkey: Thanks Art... ;-) @Faramarz: Thank you so much! ;-) @dee: Thanks Dee ;-) Roberta from Rocky Mountain House, CanadaI tried to call you back yesterday - will send you an email this AM. I think I would have prefered either a different angle or wider DOF so the line of the wire leads your eye through the shot. But still good work with that macro lens. 27 May 2007 1:14pm @Roberta: Hey Roberta! Yeah, I missed that. I have to remember to bracket my shots more so I'm not just getting the one vision. Thanks!! kairospix from Singapore, Singaporethis is such a masterful macro capture! i like it! 27 May 2007 3:48pm @kairospix: Thanks K!! Really appreciate the "MPM" title!! John Wilson from Salinas,CA, United StatesI'm with kairopix, love the narrow DOF. 27 May 2007 3:52pm @John Wilson: Thank you John! ;-) yiannis krikis from thessaloniki, Greecevery good amy I like very much the detail you shot 27 May 2007 4:16pm @yiannis krikis: thanks yiannis!! ;-) @Still: Thanks so much Still! Always wonderful to see you're still around! ;-) @Stunner: Thanks Stunner!! Loved your post today, too!! ;-) Anne from White Rock, CanadaGreat job Amy! I am so jealous of that Macro lens - but I can't have one for a while yet! ;-) 27 May 2007 9:57pm @Anne: Hey Anne!! Welcome back! Have missed your footprints (as Rahul would say). ;-) Terry from Keokuk, United StatesThe depth of field and light really capture the age and character of the wire. It just looks like how it gets pronounced south of you "bob" wire. 27 May 2007 10:00pm @Terry: Thank you Terry!! and good point about the pronunciation.. made me smile! ;-) @Evie: Really appreciate the visit and comment ;-) bronzebilly u.k. from cardiff, United Kingdomhey cutes--o.k. stand back-get ready--here we go-----aaaaace!! 27 May 2007 11:54pm @bronzebilly u.k.: Ok, stand back... get ready.... I'm speechless... hard to believe I know!! thanks, billy!! ;-) Candace from Emmaus, United StatesLove how you focused in on that one part with the Macro....I love this photo! 28 May 2007 3:28am @Candace: Hey Candace!! Thanks so much! ;-) Rahul from Kuala Lumpur, MalaysiaWow, wonderful, wo wo hahaha... (decided to stick to W-words since F-words are taking ur heart away) LOL. Great DoF here and the panaroma crop works wonders. This is a winner shot. You have improved so much, and i dont dare challenge you anymore. ;-) 28 May 2007 5:13am @Rahul: Oh Rahul, you are such a sweetie! Thanks for noticing the panarama cropping!! I thought it was a stroke of genius... but I am going to go back and try a shot with deeper dof as Roberta suggested. I think she has a point. Thanks as always, my friend!! ;-) @kaveh: Thanks bunches kaveh!! ;-) Rahul from Kuala Lumpur, MalaysiaWell Amy, from the first day we have this competitive relationship hehehe... so how can i not see even the smallest wonder you do in your pics, isnt that how we learn from eachother. ;-) Just decrease the F-stop and you can have all the DoF, but a word of advice, be careful as the right DoF rocks and a wrong DoF can be really frustrating, since you only shoot once haha... Better to play safe, like you have done here with f/5.6, and its just perfect, any more would probably end up ruining the effect. My two cents LOL. Guess, i just cant be serious with you ever hehe... even while writing serious comments i keep smiling LOLZ.. ;-) 28 May 2007 2:28pm @Rahul: You are so right Rahul!! We do learn from each other. Really appreciate all you have to say... I usually fly by the seat of my pants too much when taking shots. I'm not a very patient person and just hit the ground running.. but because of the encouragement I get on this site I'm learning to take it a little slower and think. And you make me smile all the time, too, Rahul. It's a very good thing... ;-) @Mooraha: Thanks!! ;-) ..like your pun, too. Sidonie from Sydney, AustraliaBrilliant shot of the details the eye often misses. Glorious! 29 May 2007 1:46am @Sidonie: Sidonie! I thank you... ;-D @Behrooz: Thank you thank you thank you!!! I do like this one, too. But do think I should go back and play a bit more with the dof.. ;-) @Jen: Thanks Jen... missed ya... Glad to see you're back safe and sound!! @Vahid: Thank you Vahid!! Really appreciate that! ;-) |
