My up close shots of flowers are always blurry! 14 Jun 2007 10:09am @Sidonie: You need Rahul harassing you about using a tripod!! LOL You know one thing I have discovered is that if I take my macros in the midday sun it's all good. The lower the light the fuzzier they are... not sure if it's my eyes (damn it getting old) or my camera.. or, perish the thought, both. Thanks Sidonie! You are such a great fount of encouragement!!! ;-D Jen from Jessup, United StatesFanFreakin'tastic my girl!!! 14 Jun 2007 10:46am @Jen: Ahhh, Jen, you are so amazing! Really appreciate your encouragement!! ;-) Rahul from Kuala Lumpur, MalaysiaAmy this is truly fantastic, great macro and i like the softness in this capture. How'd it go with the insurance people? Laurie from Lincoln, United StatesSuch awesome colors! I love the blue in the center! 14 Jun 2007 4:27pm @Laurie: Hey Laurie!! You know, I can't remember the name of this flower but it is such an amazing flower. The contrast between centre and petals is so astonishing. You just can't help but grab your camera. Thanks so much for the visit!! ;-) @Reza: Hi Reza!! Thanks... but how could you go wrong with such an incredible flower, eh?! @badala: Thanks... or is that obrigado... ;-) @clarence: Thank you so much!! ;-) @Johnny Soedomo: ;-) Richard_Irwin from Belper, United KingdomLovely work, I like the soft delicacy of the colours and light, would love to hear more of your technique 14 Jun 2007 9:15pm @Richard_Irwin: Hi Richard...the following is what I remember doing.... Ok, I do know I made a copy layer, did an adjustment layer for curves, did an adjustment layer for levels, added a diffuse glow on the background, used the history brush on the layer copy for just centre of the flower. Hmm, starting to look like I do remember... oh, when I processed the RAW image I did add some vignetting. It was pretty much a guess and by golly trip to creative-ville. ;-) Zing from Hamilton, New ZealandPerfect! Excellent macro, nice colours and composition. 16 Jun 2007 6:17am @Zing: Thanks Zing!! Glad to see you're back! ;-) Behrooz from Tehran, IranThe center of the image invites me in. Beautifully strange! 16 Jun 2007 6:36pm @Behrooz: It's that kind of flower Behrooz! You really have got the hang of the macro now - and fr...fan...processing! :-D 18 Jun 2007 8:10am @Anne: Oh Anne! Thank you!! Don't know how got I along without that macro...
