GullPosted by amy (Nanaimo, BC, Canada) on 20 June 2007 in Plant & Nature and Portfolio. I just love the mood of this image. Yes the gull is out of focus... for reason. I used a few different processes for this but the final process was Draganising. You can view my gallery of images and calendar for sale at: cute but stupid . I'm slowly adding more to the site and if there is something in my portfolio you would like to purchase but is not available on my site just contact me and I'll make it available. I appreciate all visits and comments and thank you always... ;-)

I did a google search and have been experimenting with it so I'll post afew myself next week, once I've finished with the fountains series. Yeah, I really liked how the little bugger was fiddling around while on the back of that bench. And I was so happy I actually caught him like this. Thank you thank you thank... truly!! ;-) Stunner from Kingston, JamaicaNice shot Amy! Very resourceful and goo thinking of your part. My latedt photo wad the same problem so i played around in PS to make up for it. 20 Jun 2007 8:57pm @Stunner: Great minds Stunner!! Thanks so much for that! ;-) Blackdog from London, United KingdomHi Amy. You certainly like your "post production". I am a bit of a traditionalist... but I do think the shot is wonderfully observed and composed. The differential focus on the water works really well and the colour contrast between the magpie and the water perfect. Mike 20 Jun 2007 9:08pm @Blackdog: Yup, I like my pp and I like the traditionalist as well. Depends on my mood. I've been in a big time experiment mood lately... just bored! LOL I'm really glad you could see past the pp and find something that appealed to you. Thank you very much for your honest observations and comments!! ;-) kairospix from Singapore, Singaporei've only got 4 words (well 6 if you count MPM as 3 words!) to describe this... 21 Jun 2007 1:18am @kairospix: You're very kind K!!
