Canola Fields

Experimenting again. I did a multitude of things to this image starting with the desaturation, selective colouring, draganising, grunge effects (2x), photo filter, layer style resetting the blending mode, layer style again changing to drop shadow, and then again layer style changing to inner glow... whew. Truth to tell? When I finally finished this one, I sat back and sighed with accomplishment. Didn't know exactly what I was going for but when I hit I knew. Flying by the seat of my pants again.

+ This reminds me of the evil lady from the movie Electra. Wherever she walks by, all life around that path dies, all leaves get dry. It looks as if she just drove past this road. I like the framing too.

Good experiment. I always use Canola oil but never seen Canola fields. Thanks Amy.

@Soodabeh: The canola is in bloom for only about a week or so, so you have to get out there and get shooting quickly when the weather permits. Glad I could show you even what a small field looks like. The canola fields are gloriously amazing when the sky is blue and the yellow meets to that sky. Wasn't able to catch that with this shot. Hopefully, I will yet this season. Thank you so much for the comment.

@Roberta: It was a good image to start with... it just needed some punch. And of course I wasn't sure what kind-of punch 'till I got going. I guess that's the 'artiste' in me... LOL ... or is just typical me not having a @#%*! clue?!
