@Mike Raffan: Thanks so much Mike!! @Helen: Thank you Helen!! And I've so enjoyed your ducks!! quack quack!! Roberta from Rocky Mountain House, CanadaPerfection Amy! This is very beautiful. I love how you've processed it with the desaturated colors. 23 Jul 2007 1:13pm @Roberta: I'm sitting up much straighter now Roberta!! Thank you. Actually, I took 2 shots and made one. I desaturated the one image of blurry daisies then blended that with a colour image of a daisy in focus. Then just played around with the blending modes and then I used a vintage action. It's all starting to gel in my old noggin'!! @colin: Wow!! Thanks colin! Considering your work.. that's a great compliment! Jen from Alpharetta, United StatesThis is Simple, Gorgeous, Beautiful and here it comes...Fabulous Dahling! I love the desaturated colors and the selective focus is perfect!!! 23 Jul 2007 2:22pm @Jen: Thanks soul sister!!! I actually blended a couple different shots (one of which I had desaturated) to get this look. I have to admit I did have that sit back and sigh reaction when I finally finished this one. So your encouragement is even more reinforcing!! Thank you thank you thank you!! And I'm sorry I didn't like the pole in your post this morning... I do appreciate your reasoning about it... will have to have another boo.. ;-) Vinay from Bangalore, IndiaToo good... One day even I want to take a similar kind of a photograph... I love the picture.. 23 Jul 2007 4:23pm @Vinay: Thank you Vinay!! The image is actually a couple images in one with lots of processing in between. @yiannis krikis: Thanks yiannis!! Art Monkey from Salt Spring Island, Canadavery nice amy - i love the softness of the image :) 23 Jul 2007 6:57pm @Art Monkey: Thanks Art!! And I'm so glad to see you back!!!! Any anagrams? @Laurie: Thank you Laurie! ;-) Viewfinder from Bradenton, United StatesWhat a great title for this very delicate and beautiful image. Daisies are photogenic, but you have made them sing. Bravo. 23 Jul 2007 8:41pm @Viewfinder: Thank you seems not enough but it's the only words I have.... thank you! Richard_Irwin from Belper, United KingdomThis image is really really beautiful Amy. The PP work you have done to the image is also spectacular 23 Jul 2007 8:48pm @Richard_Irwin: Thank you Richard.... that truly means a lot.... especially from someone who names their dog Sprocket!! Seriously, a humble thank you. @Shahab: Hey Shahab!!! So glad you like it!! Thank you very much!! @Walt: Thanks so much Walt! @Craiger: Thanks Craig!!! It was fun to see the process as I was doing it. @alla: Thanks alla!! bronzebilly u.k. from cardiff, United Kingdomyo cutes--whoa ho ho ho hey--superbo image--top class processing and result--Ilikes it--ace--billy 24 Jul 2007 10:07pm @bronzebilly u.k.: Aw shucks! I've got a long way to go to match your amazing processing, my friend, but thanks so much!! Sash from Adelaide, AustraliaThis POV suits me to a tee, Amy (that rhymes with the intonation in the appropriate place). I interpret this as every flower in the field being of equal importance, not just the trendy buggers at the front of the queue. Perhaps you intended it to have slightly different meaning, but that's the beauty of subjectivity (albeit it from a loopy source). ;) PS I've got one of my personal fave flower pics that's reminiscent of this scheduled in about three-to-five days (can't remember; old fart am I). 26 Jul 2007 3:47am @Sash: Well, you old fart, I love how you comment. I really had no idea what the hell I was going for... just a feeling. When I finally looked at this finished product I had the "feeling" which meant the journey for this one was done. Destination found. That's usually how I do my images... it's all emotion. The interpretation I leave to the viewer to articulate however they want. Don't you just love the ambiguity of art?!! Thanks Sash... truly, thank you. Rahul from Kuala Lumpur, MalaysiaDesaturation here is very interesting too, though i would love to see this shot a bit extra saturated to pop that yellow out, with a soft layer of blur on other flowers except the one in focus being the sharpest. You are a master at PP, give it a shot Amy, you should try all combinations with this shot as it has such wonderful selective focus. :) 26 Jul 2007 5:46pm @Rahul: You know Rahul, that is a very good idea and I will definitely try that. Thanks so much my buddy for catching up with my stuff! I so love your suggestions and critiques!! |
