Cute But Stupid
Sunset's glow

This was taken at sunset facing east of Postill Lake (remember that lake 5000ft up on top of a mountain?). I just loved the glow on the trees.

@Lost Valley: Hey there LV!! I tried to change the colour on this a wee bit to show that the trees are actually green but it just wasn't right... the trees looked like this in that sunset glow so I decided Mother Nature was right yet again. Thanks so much!!

Ooh and it's gone for a 6!!! What a beauty. Superb contrast here Amy. You've captured the subtle tones of the clouds so well. Great juxtaposition here. Little bit of Mr Orton goin on?! If so....it's worked a treat!

@Walt: Thank you so much Walt!! This lake was so incredible... it was like a teenage girl with all the moods involved. One minute it was as smooth as glass and calm (like when a teenage girl is sleeping), the next totally tempetuous (as a teenage girl in love). LOL

@Sean Bailey: Thanks Sean!!! I downloaded that Photomatix... wee bit of a learning curve.... hate to read instructions so have to frustrate myself for awhile trying to figure it out.... then one day I will sit down with bloody forehead and read the manual and go "Ohhh, that's why I need to that!"
