This is straight from the camera. No pp. No tweaking of exposure or colour. I purposely chose the short dof and was very happy with the results. ?????????????
Just tell me what you think. I'm a big girl.... I won't cry for long. ;-)

@Nick Passantino: Thank you Nick!! Sometimes I surprise myself!! LOL
Amazing - the color is brilliant - a detail says more than whole!

@Sidonie: I couldn't believe the colour either when I got it on the computer!! And you said it so eloquently... a detail can say more. Thank you Sidonie!!
A very nice result it is too. I love the selective focussing, and the texture and colour of the iron ring

@Richard Irwin: Thank you always seems so trite but truly thank you... it's the feedback and I guess affirmation that you're on the right track that keeps us going.
I like the contrast with the previous picture, this one is so heavy and patiently waiting for some weight to attach to it.. and even if nothing will be attached to it, then it's also OK with the ring.

@Roberta: You're not going to let me forget that are you?!!!
How cool is this! It should be in a frame hanging in a gallery somewhere. A definite A+ for Amy's compositional skills and use of DOF.

@Michael Rawluk: Thanks Michael. I really love the effect from a shallow dof.. it just seems to give more "meat" to the image.

@Robert: Thanks Robert!! You know, I think I prefer a short dof for most macros... I just think that fuzziness draws more attention to the subject.
Fantastic closeup Amy! I like the textures and the purple colour!
