On one of our Am3 friend's blog was a very impressive collage that was from an action downloaded for PS. I can't remember whose blog that was but thank you because I really LOVE this action. I could do this process myself but this action saves me TIME!!! It was designed Panos Efstathiadis and if you copy and paste this address you too can have this action....http://www.panosfx.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=110&Itemid=26
Our friend Dimitrios has suggested another theme!! I've posted his message here so that we may all share in this great idea!!
Dimitrios says:
Ok my am3 friends YOU HAVE Asked for it. A new theme for your talents to be put into action. Wall graffiti always fascinated me. A strong message is given, an art is produced for all to enjoy free of charge or maybe it can be ugly. So go out , look around, small or big does not matter, find the graffiti that impresses you, photograph it and show to the am3-world this great form of expression or dislike if you think it does so. Please post your contribution with the title GRAFFITI DAYs on Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 NOVEMBER 2007. ADVERTISE the idea to as many of your am3 friends as possible. Best photo-regards, DIMITRIOS
Just tell me what you think. I'm a big girl.... I won't cry for long. ;-)

@Stunner: Thanks Stunner!!! I really do like this effect... hope I don't overuse it! ;-)
Thats neat and cool, I must try it myself. I used to have a programme to do the same thing, but it was for creating prints ready to dye-sublimate onto ceramic tiles. You chose a top image to use with it too, the subject matter suits the action perfectly.

@Richard_Irwin: Thank you Richard!! I have to admit that I do really like this one, too. I was so happy that Amir had the info to get this action as it does just take way too long to do!!

@Viewfinder: THAT is such a sweet thing to say... Thank you so much Viewfinder!! And I really loved your post today!!
Ah, now I understand what you were talking about. Cool! I'd like to do something like that, but for real - so you end up with a giant sized wall mural!
10 Oct 2007 9:44am
@Roberta: Now that WOULD be cool!!
It was me who presented it. You have done a great job and chosen a nice photo for the purpose.
10 Oct 2007 10:24am
@Amir: Amir!!! You know, I thought it was you but didn't want to say it was if it wasn't... does that make sense?! LOL I am soooo glad I saw this on your blog because I sooooo love how much time it saves me. Sometimes "labour of love" is a misnomer for projects like this. And it did turn out quite nice, too... Thanks!!
That is so cool! BTW, I have a few really good garitti items from San Francisco. Those folks really know how to do it.

@MontereyJohn: In little ol' Rocky Mountain House (pop. 7300) there isn't much for graffiti but I do have an interesting option that I'm going to post... I hope.. Thanks John!!

Wow! I like this. Does this action work in PS Elements amy? Bron
11 Oct 2007 4:49am
@Bron: Hey Bron!! Thanks bunches!! Glad you like it.. it is a cool effect.
I don't know if it works in Elements... but I'm thinking it won't as there are some functions that are in CS2 that you can't do in Elements. Does Elements have an actions palette? If it does then you may be able to use this action. But I'm not sure if you can drag one image onto another in Elements... that's really necessary for this effect.
very impressive work amy I like it

sorry pal this time...http://bronzebilly.aminus3.com/image/2007-04-19.html

@bronzebilly u.k.: I remember this one and it was so GREAT!! I'll be playing more with this action 'cuz it's just too cool!!! Thanks billybuddy!
Wowsers! This is something I could definitely get into, particularly with some of the more abstract images that require a bit of...umm...hmm...thought, yes that's the word I'm looking for.
Maybe we can organise a 'What The Heck Is That?' scenario with interested parties posting one photo a week devoted to using this style. It is a thought on the rotisserie (sp?) of time.

@Sashimi Bhoy: That's a pretty interesting idea... I think you should run with that, Sash. This technique/action is so cool. I will be posting more of these. Thanks, my man!!! Still waiting to hear if I won the trip to Mars, tho'... ;-)
