through the red window

This is from the side of the building that I posted a couple days ago ... we repair anything.. I did some more texture layering with this image too... I just can't help myself!! LOL It's just how I express my vision which is what my art is all about.

Remember it's Graffiti Days this weekend (the 17th and 18th). Let's show Dimitrios how we see graffiti and make him proud!

Wrong side of the Rocks you say! Well with these past few tremendous photos I don't think so right now! I was in Nanton, south of Calgary for 4 years after my hubby died (cheaper to live there). It was there that places like you have depicted could be found! The grain elevators on the railway close to Highway 2 south/northbound were due for demolition before I left, so I expect they will be gone now! They were a real landmark in each small town where the highway was close to the railway lines. Absolutely love the treatment you have given them - lends an even more old and decrepit texture to them. :-)

Love the old weathered wood and the red trim. I'm a huge fan of old buildings, and hate to see any of them lost. Unfortunately too many have already been torn down - history gone forever. Thanks for the comments you left the other day - I really appreciate them!

Amazing texture and colour, but I find that looking at the image of the building, slowly disintegrating, is also kind of sad. If it could talk, I bet it would have a million tales.
