bubbles and squeal..

I know, ICK!! But I just got lucky with this very tiny fellow when I was taking the shot. This is from the same day back in May when I had taken yesterday's post. Again, I didn't think it was very good but in retrospect... not bad... not great either because the focus isn't as sharp as it should be on the whole of the spider. However, what the heck.

Indeed, what the heck. I think it is a wonderful macro. Love the reflection in the droplet of water and that is a pretty sharp image of Mr. Ikcy too.

Good find. I've never seen a spider stretch before. He needs to decide which leaf he wants to be on.
I like the drop of water and how it's nestled in the leaves and not running down.

You are wrong! The focus is on the drop, which is excellent, and the rest is just a bonus - the spider kinda frames the drop and there is just enough focus to see some spider detail. We don't all look with the same eye remember, to me this is excellent!

I don't remember an Ickey spider like that one in Alberta!!! Now here in BC, we do have a few Ickey spiders! Now that I've got a macro I should try and get out and get some insects. (When I have sorted out how to use the thing without the whole thing refusing to fire).

You did awfully well with this Amy! I remember you always put your first macro photos down when they were in fact really brillliant! The water drop is just great with its reflections too! Love it! ;-)

This was taken by using the tamron sp90 macro lens? Some sharpening will make it a greater picture.

@Levine: Hi Levine! Thanks for that... however the lens is Nikon 60mm micro. I had just gotten it and was still trying to learn how to use right. It's that learning curve. I'm getting better at now as I've had the lens for a year now.
