"If the doors of perception were cleansed every thing would appear to man as it is, infinite. For man has closed himself up, till he sees all things thru' narrow chinks of his cavern." -- William Blake
Just tell me what you think. I'm a big girl.... I won't cry for long. ;-)

This one has seen rough times - 1930s depression - kids in rags, no food in the dust bowl - it's so suggestive! Nice work, amy.

I like the play with the tones, which suggest a kind of duality of perception, that it is real because the other one is also real, nice work, thought provoking

I was expecting you to quote The Doors =Dp Sounds like Blake is on the opium there =D) There is something mysterious and ghostly about this shot, my eyes have trouble getting a lock on it! I like it! But I too am anal, and not a fan of the slant.

@drphoto: The Doors or rather Jim Morrison took their inspiration from this poem. That slant, I know, but it was the building not me with the slant so decided to leave it. Thanks Dan!!
Really masterly combination of the poem and image. I do feel the whole sense of Blake’s words evoked through your image. Absolutely Wow. May I say thank you so much too for your well wishes for my pregnancy and your very kind words at my blog the other day. I truly appreciate them.

The doors of perception allow understanding. Otherwise we'd be overwhelmed. We'd also be clones. Better to try the doors. :>
