fenced again..

Yesterday's post without all the "gussying up". This is pretty much out of the camera with a little adjustment when processing in the CS3 Bridge... which by the way ROCKS!

Oooo! I like both for different reasons. They both give a different kind of message. This one is more free, whilst the other has an imprisoned feel to it. Either way they are both fantastic shots Amy.

I like both images, I'm a fan of colour usually, but the shot yesterday was also really great. Like you, I really like CS3, and adobe Bridge is just the best, I couldn't work without it.

Nice comparison between the two - a l;ittle insight into how your creative eye works =D)

I have to say, I prefer yesterdays, but because in that shot the shakiness and lack of focal point seems intended, whereas in this one it seems out of place. I'm interested in this f.16 mentioned in the EXIF, how do you get such shallow DOF with such a small aperture? Surely the fenceposts aren't that far apart? I'm thinking maybe you were shooting from a distance at maximum zoom (hence the shakiness)?

So, any sign of that D300 yet? I'm envious =D)

@drphoto: Yeah, I prefer the pp'd one too. I'm not sure why it's fuzzy. It's very sharp on my computer. I was thinking it might be because of the compression but I am an A+ member now. The fence posts are quite a distance apart as the farmer's are fencing large tracts of land... maybe 20+ feet apart? I was shooting probably about 10ft from the front most post. Shrug... not sure tho'. Not much help am I?! LOL The D300 should be mine come April 26th. It's hard holding my breath until it gets here!! LOL CAN'T WAIT!! I actually love the textures in this Amy "au naturel" I think dr's comments above are probably valid, but any shakiness is not bad enough to detract from this excellent old wood texture. I really have trouble with my longer lens that I got. There often hasn't been enough bright light to get the sutterspeed high enough, and not even enough to stop down to f16 with all the dull, cloudiness we have had. However, it is brightening now!. Can't believe its a couple of days since I got here to visit :-)
