Nice macro, great dew drops. Is this blooming in your garden now or was this from last year?

@Marion: It's from last year... about the middle of June. I was in a hurry to post so didn't do my usual explaination. Out here in the toolies, if the deer don't get them first, then you can expect them to bloom early to mid June. In town they'll bloom sooner. But at least the weather is warming up now and the buyers are starting to come out. Hopefully, this bodes well for the buyers of our place and they can finally get their house sold!!!

Wonderful macro Amy! This has to be taken last Spring or indoors if a new one. Ours are only just beginning to open and its been a darned sight warmer than there - even though I moan about rain and damp! The light picking up the water droplets is marvellous! ;-)

@Anne: Thanks Anne! No, it's not from this year but from last. If the deer don't get them first they usually bloom sometime into June... well, at least out here in the toolies. In town, they bloom sooner. However, I was working in the yard today and they are coming up already!! Can't believe it.

The red is well done (red is tough and AM3 tends not to like it when it posts). I love water droplets on plants. (I just started a series with droplets on my blog(s)) I like the way the light touches the top. I might suggest using a reflector (anything white) to add some fill at the bottom of the flower while still maintaining the more intense light at the top. The Bokeh is beautiful.

@Laurie: Thank you soooo much for that Laurie. It's very good advice. My D300 is waiting for me to pick it up... unfortunately that won't be until the 26th when we'll be heading down to Calgary. Can't wait!!

Mmmm! Nice! I like the beads of water rolling down the right side. I can't find where you've focussed but it kind of has a dream like quality for that reason.

@drphoto: I was focusing more on the droplets. However, this was also when I was still using the auto focus instead of trusting my own eyes.... and hand holding all the time, too. Thanks Dan!! Always appreciate your feedback.

Great detail in the water drops & lovely bokeh - but I agree with Laurie, as an image overall, the darker 2/3 pulls my eye down
