So here's Brandi (Sidney York). The reason I went to hear her sing on Sunday was because she was in a song writer's competition. She won best up and coming songwriter!!! We are soo incredibly proud of her. Brandi is a very talented young woman and deserves all the accolades she's getting now and will in future. I got this candid of her as she was warming up before her performance.
I've been a little MIA again. This past weekend was a flurry of driving all over the place. Between driving up to Beaver Hill Lake and back on Saturday then down to Calgary on Sunday, I haven't even been able to do much of anything. That's why I didn't even post yesterday. It's just a crazy time right now. And with training my replacement, I haven't even been to cheat and use the highspeed at work for visiting (shhh, don't tell them, though LOL). Wow! Sounds like I'm whining again! LOL Ok, I am...just a bit.
Just tell me what you think. I'm a big girl.... I won't cry for long. ;-)

I love the inclusion of the bit of guitar. It gives the shot a dynamic focus.

I listened to some of her tunes on myspace - I like her style - it reminds me of a lady named Leslie Helpert from Georgia.
Great portrait too

As António says back there, it is that little glimpse of the guitar that makes this truly connect. A lovely portrait.

A really nice candid - and even better in large =D) I'm with Antonio and Ronnie, that tiny little detail allows my imagination to paint the rest of the scene or invent a story behind this image.
