This is a pasque-flower, the same that I had posted previously with the rain droplets on it but now maturing to full bloom. And again I didn't use a tripod as these little beauties are only about 2 inches up from the ground and my wonderful tripod that I do love so just doesn't collapse for macros. Oh well, it's more fun when I can crawl around with my butt waving hello to one and all!! I'm trying out Ian's trick of putting the white canvas around my image. I so love how he presents his images in this way that I decided I'd try it out.
Just tell me what you think. I'm a big girl.... I won't cry for long. ;-)

I also love Ian's white borders. It truly does work very well with this shot. Very nice comp and colors. I might get rid of that little bit of green on the far left. Other than that, hang this baby on the wall! :)

Nice job! I love the colours and the way you've picked it up in a frame. I think you should keep the green bit. It balances the composition and breaks the expanse of colour..

Colours to die for and a gorgeous composition.....wow! Fantastic work Amy!...oh and thanks for the compliment about the border. It was suggested to me by a professional graphic designer called John Leech http://www.leechdesign.co.uk/

This is awesome Amy, a stunning hand held macro, the only way to get up close and personal with the subject, in my opinion anyway :), ( I find it's a much safer way for me to get a macro shot, than landing head first into the flowers, after tripping over my tripod lol :) ) The border works beautifully, this would look fantastic framed and hung on the wall.

good work! what a beautiful flower, you've shown it so elegantly! Amy, I wish you'd get rid of the "cute but stupid" saying......I've seen nothing stupid in your work...the saying degrades your work in my opinion. You're too good for that.

@Cheryl: Thank you Cheryl so much!! That's very wonderful of you! But the cute but stupid stays.. it's a little of my sense of humor and also how I tend to get out of trouble. Seriously! LOL If you tell someone when they're railing at you that you're cute but stupid it tends to take the wind out of their sails!! I don't mean it to be a reflection of my work... just the "being amy" part.
Can I come play in your garden?! Mine has nothing in it!
This is beautiful Amy.
