this is sheer bliss! wonderful colours, contrast, composition, light and forms. It has such a warm feeling to it with lovely soft bokeh. Can i keep this as a screen saver? Please?! Awesome work, Amy!
By the way I disagree with SPunkt, for me the darkness on the right adds to the pespective and also provides a feeling of mystery about "what lies unseen in the depths". Ooh er missus!

This is delightful, an image for contemplation, relaxation, getting ones head together. Super shot Amy, I just love the way the touch of blue at the left gives the other colours such balance, just excellent.

Hey cutes...the best macro series ever,pal...this beauty in particular is an Ace example of the genre,....light/colour/focus..etc.etc....a richly deserved Billy Oscar of the day goes to this image..be proud..

Amy this is a wonderfully sensuous macro - really like the curves and colours and central point of clarity with surrounding soft focus.
looking at your profile I see that you used a D70 and now a D300. what do you think of the 60 mm micro lens? my otherwise-great 18 - 200 lens just isn't designed for real macro work.

@baobab: Hi baobab! Sorry it's taken me so long to respond. I do really love my 60mm. It can be a little touchy for the focal pt but it really is a very useful lens. A tripod is a must for most of the images you'll be taking with this lens. Once you've figured out the parameters with this lens you'll wonder why you didn't buy one sooner.
