FINALLY! Yes, kids, the house in Rocky has finally sold. 'Nuff said... well maybe just this... WOO HOO!!! (back flip, hand stand, back flip, high five...)
Just had to share my happy news. ;-)

I am just thrilled for you .... and if I could manage it I would do a back flip, but no, not going to happen. How many months was that??? Ours has only been on the market seven months. Hopefully soon I will be able to say the same. Congrats kiddo. Take that really deep sigh of relief and onward and upward.

@Michael Skorulski: Yes, we loved it, too. It was a very wonderful acreage. But now we're in Nanaimo with this new and exciting way of life. It's all coming together ;-)

Celebration time! Glad to know you're finally free of this; we once went 11 months with our old house for sale in another state - meanwhile having a new mortgage in another - two mortgages at once, our finances really took a big hit.

@Viewfinder: Oh yes! We were very lucky with the sale happening at the 11th hour otherwise we would've been doing the double mortgage thing, too. With all that's going on with housing market it was really starting to look very gruesome... I was lining up which grocery cart was going to mine... ;-)

Oh, boy! you're cashed up now! As I write this, I'm watching the face-off debate between the two US Vice-president aspirants - Senator B and Governor P (on TV), and wondering if the Canadian economy has been badly affected by the Wall St crisis and the prime-loan fiasco. I hope you're all OK over there, and you've got yourself another home safely. I could live in this one (love the space, the roof, the trees ...)
BTW - I think Jen has blown out the screen size of this post's comments with her zillion !!!!!!! exclamation marks. Your side bars are vertical instead of horizontal.

@Sidonie: Thanks Sidonie!! Yeah, Jen gets a little excited for me 'cuz I've been whining so much to her via e-mails LOL!! We are very thankful that it did sell as we are seeing the effects here from the fall out down in the states. No where near the disasters (thanks be to a stronger bank system? maybe?) but it still does affect the economy. Actually, if you have a look-see on mls.ca and search CA277168 you can see the inside of the house, too. It's very cute.... I know you'd love the interior, too. It was a fantastic home for the 12yrs we were there but now we have just as great but different home in a place we've always dreamed of living. Life is beautiful, Sidonie!!
