My back is much better. Thanks everyone!

Dan and I went for a drive yesterday up to Campbell River. It was a very beautiful autumn day out here on Vancouver Island. I must say that this is the first time in many years that I've really enjoyed this season. On the way back home we stopped at our favourite pub (The Shady Rest Inn) which is right on Qualicum Beach. When we were heading back to the car after our meal I spotted an eagle and stood to watch him. He'd caught something and landed on a spit not far from where we were. So I grabbed my camera to see if I could get relatively close enough to get some decent shots. The eagle ended up flying past me (this shot) with his catch in his claws. He ended up landing on an old pier piling down the beach from me. So I trundled down the beach after him. I managed to get quite close to him. I also used so much of my memory card that I was deleting stuff while I watching him because I knew he would fly off once he'd finished devouring his meal (a fish... a very big fish.. probably a salmon). So I hope you don't get bored but I'm posting about 5 images of this most magnificent beastie.... and that would be from about 55 images that I was able to whittle it down to! LOL!!

I'm not sure why but the image I've uploaded is way more saturated than my original. It looks very odd... not at all what I've got on my monitor. The others that I've pre-posted look fine. So I'm not sure what has happened. I had also originally uploaded an image of the eagle flying past me but it worse than crap when I uploaded it. Any idea what may be the problem?

You can view my gallery of images and calendar for sale at: cute but stupid . I'm slowly adding more to the site and if there is something in my portfolio you would like to purchase but is not available on my site just contact me and I'll make it available.

I appreciate all visits and comments and thank you always... ;-)
