tapestry..

Wow, was this ever an experiment. I've got more layers in this puppy than an onion. I was trying for a Tuscan look... not sure I got there but after the time I had put in working on this one I decided I needed to post it anyways. So, what do you think? Did I overdo it??

Oh God, she has her layer crayons out again!

Suggestion, when you use a vertical image, size it to 8" so you don't have to scroll through it.

As for the image .... well ... er .... ah .... I think my phone is ringing :)

I love MontereyJohn's answer. Yup, this is a little overlayered. Not up to your usual great work. But hey, one has to experiment.

I have to say that I really like it Amy, and I'm not just saying that, I do :) I love the use of the colour the texture and the cherub/angel and think that you've created a beautiful image.

Yeah it does have that Tuscan look, I'd say, one layer too many...but still I hesitate ;)

This is great. I think the only thing I might have done differently is used a mask on the sculpture to fade some of the textures there, and maybe increase contrast a bit just in the sculpture since the definition there kind of gets lost. Just give a few more tweaks and it will be fabulous.

My favorite bits are the layered browns on the right, it really does have the tapestry feel.

Oooooh cutes...this one caused some chatter,pal...personally I Luvs it m'lady..it's definitely got the texture you were aiming for,and the colours are spot-on .....the fact that the statue itself is low on definition adds more to the tapestry look....ACE work,#1 layerqueen..
