Again I've been MIA... sigh... But I am posting this new composite. I have finally gotten my site at RedBubble all set up. I've missed my Am3 friends.

Redbubble looks interesting. Do you know if they do Canvass wrap and metallic printing? Also do they have password protected client galleries? I didn't see that on the site but may have missed it.

I have been looking for a new professional portfolio site. Right now I am looking into using Zenfolio for my professional gallery. Zenfolio works with Mpix for printing and IPY for other products, or you can choose to use your own lab. It is not free, there are 3 price levels from $25 basic, $40 unlimitted, and $100 premium/year (but I have a promotional discount coupon for the first year and they offer a premium package for a 14 day free trial) You set your own prices and they take a 12% service fee which includes order processing and credit card transaction charges, providing customer service, and processing payment to the photographer. It doesn't seem too expensive for the professional quality that you get from the looks of it. I like the idea Zenfolio because it allows for password protected client access to their galleries and offers a variety of print quality options and the galleries are customizable. You can also use your own domain, but I think I will just list it as a link on my main site.

I am still looking into other options too. So I am wondering how Zenfolio Compares to Redbubble and other sites.

@Laurie: I did look into Zenfolio and may still try it as MPIX does do fantastic printing. I had a calendar printed by them and it turned out incredibly well. My issue is that it's in US$. The shipping and handling is a bit hefty if you're only ordering a print... $15.95. I prefer that there is a choice of currency as there is with Redbubble. And Zenfolio doesn't offer the calendar option for display (even tho' MPIX prints etc). RedBubble doesn't have the password protected galleries (or at least not that I've seen). Redbubble does do the canvas wrap printing but not metallic. One of the things I really like about it is that when you set up your bubblesite anyone interested in purchasing can see what the picture looks like with the framing they offer as well as how the art card looks. They have their base price and then you mark it up for what ever percentage you want to sell at. I think it's a good system. Just haven't sold anything as yet. I did look into MugSmug but wasn't too impressed with that. I still may go with Zenfolio as well... am undecided ;-)

Thanks for the info...I guess I have some more research to do! I saw a Zenfolio rep at the Photo Plus expo in NY and they impressed me with their services but I haven't decided yet. Mpix is great from what I've heard and seen. I've heard raves about their metallic prints, although I haven't seen any first hand. Up until now I had been printing in house on an Epson pro-printer but it is just too much for me now so I decided to outsource.
