Red River Wagon Wheel

So. In order to get the pelts to the fort to be taken up river in the York Boat... whew... they would either have the Natives come right to the fort to trade or go to them. In which case, they would transport the pelts in a Red River Cart. Apparently, the wheels were not greased because of all the dust which would mix with the dust and seize the wheels. They say you could hear these carts coming from miles away because of the squeaking from the ungreased wheels. History lesson over. Quiz in the morning. ;-)
