the colours of life..

Posted by
amy (Nanaimo, BC, Canada) on 14 August 2008 in Plant & Nature and Portfolio.

Hey kids!! I know I've been absent again. I so hate not being able to keep up lately. Things are getting better. My finger is totally on the mend. I can almost bend it all the way now.. WOOHOO! Things are going much better at work. The cats, though, are still struggling so my home time is concentrating on them....well, really refereeing, which leaves little time to visit everyone. But as you know... I WILL CATCH UP!!

This image is pretty much from the camera ... just with the usual tweaks in Bridge. I did try to crop it a bit but to me this just looks better as a whole image. I think it's because of those colours I managed to capture.

Welcome back amy! Glad the finger's getting well, and work's improving. The cats, well that may be an ongoing saga (spoken as one who has moved with cats)...

Your image is a beautiful one. The vibrant, rich tones of the bokeh are the gentle anchor, with the grass tops so light and graceful in contrast/focus. An image well worth the wait.

Absolutely STUNNING Amy! I like this with its harmonizing colours much more than the darker images with the buffalo hide background! Can't catch up posting on all your pics - should go and visit other people too! Just had to post on this one though! It is just fantastic!
